The Isles of Shoals are a group of nine islands ten miles out of Portsmouth Harbor, with a four hundred year history of inhabitation.
Meetings are held at 7 P.M. on the 2nd Tuesday of May and the 2nd Tuesday of November at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH. Meetings include an informative and entertaining program related to the Isles of Shoals on topics ranging from archaeological research to winter caretaking on the Shoals. In the 1600s the Shoals set the world market price for dried cod. Two centuries later, the Shoals were a renowned resort era. They currently host conferences and marine education.
