As summer’s golden haze fades into fall’s crispness, and winter’s crystal white don’t let your Shoaler friends and family drift too far away.  Come together again at ISHRA’s 3rd Annual Winter Social.  If the past two years are any indication it will be another fun filled ISHRA event.  Mark your calendar – January 25, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Kittery Point.  Bring your favorite side dish, appetizer, beverage, or dessert for the pot luck luncheon, the seafood chowder is on us. Most important, don’t forget your photo albums, Shoals memorabilia, and memories to share.

This year ISHRA will also include a surprise fundraiser to benefit ISHRA Conferences, Speakers, and Social Events.

WITCHCRAFT IN NEW ENGLAND – Our guest speaker Tad Baker, author of A Storm of Witchcraft: The Salem Trials and The American Experience, will focus on cases of witchcraft in the Piscataqua area, as well as connections between the region and the infamous Salem witch trials of 1692. His talk will include a bizarre case of witchcraft in which a stone-throwing devil assaulted Quaker George Walton and his tavern in present-day New Castle throughout the summer of 1682.
